A strange object washes up in the surf, pushed up to the dunes at high tide. A piece of technology? A supernatural phenomenon? A fossil? An artifact? A castaway weapon, a lover’s keepsake, a mollusk’s shell?

This is an object of wonder, something that invites (yet resists) easy interpretation. It is a site for storytelling, a narrative grain around which meaning crystallizes. Before you know it, the object has a story, a resonance. This is what humans do.

At Beach Relic, we like to collect these interpretive objects and create new ones for audiences to enjoy.
